Last night a friend and I joined an evening kayaking trip that began in the Docklands area of Melbourne and ventured into the mouth of the Yarra River and under the Bolte Bridge.
It had been looking pretty ordinary weather wise for most of the day, but thankfully the rain held off and the dark clouds merely acted as a dramatic backdrop to this amazing city as we watched the fading light turn the city golden.
It was pretty spectacular, though the only shot I have to share is from dry ground after the hour and a half on the water.
I do love the Bolte Bridge. And it was a highlight of the night to paddle beneath its span.
I am also happy to report no Coast Guard rescue was required and we did not make it onto the late news.
