Being single on Valentine's Day...

I'm ok with being single on Valentine's Day.
I've done it before.
I survived it then.
And I will survive it again today.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

I'm not single and we don't 'celebrate' Valentine's day. It's totally commercial and leaves about the other 364 days ... which are equally as important.

Have a great day. I'm off to Chinese New Year and the mardi gras in St Kilda ... without Mr H.

So there Valentine's Day! LOL

I don't think i've ever celebrated it much, even when I was with someone they ignored it! So we need to start a single girls's day, I think, like "yay, who cares about men, actually I don't really need one" day. Heehee.

mmmmm, It's not important to celebrate Valentine's day...I totally agree with the two other comments...I'm not bah humbug at all about celebrating love..I just don't need hallmark or any other non-Australian tradition (yes that's right this came to Australia late folks!!) to be told when and how to celebrate. with my loved ones!. I have always appreciated the token efforts of others, but never disappointed if it's not acknowledged!!! Enjoy your day Jacinta knowing your surrounded by love from close ones regardless.

Oh well i'm married but home alone, so take a peek at my blog to see who is making me feel special today. I had to give birth to him!! My husband can't even call, we have a sleep over & i've been in the studio all day. Romantic, no, thoughtful, no. I'll let my boy send you some hugs too. FYI we've never been big on Valentine's day either, or anniversaries, you should be thoughtful every day. Love Posie

I didn't even realise it was valentines day until someone told me!
I think we should celebrate being free and independant.

Don't you know that the real name for Valentine's Day is "Singles Awareness Day"?

I think it's pretty much accepted that Valentines Day is so commercialised now that 99% of couples don't even celebrate it. Unless you're dating one of those unfortunately shallow girls who insist on roses and chocolates and those tacky teddy bears with "i wuv u" hearts. There was even a radio ad down here that said "Ladies, if it's not Roses Only this Valentine's Day, he's not worth it. Dump him!" Really? Are you serious?

I'd rather have my partner do small "just because" things for me when he wants to, not buy me over-priced flowers on one day because society tells him to, otherwise he won't be a Good Partner.

So don't even worry.

And please excuse my V Day rant! Ahem.
